Hi Madness... I worked for both Thomas Cook & National Bank. When you withdraw at the ATM the rate is calculated back in Australia they also charge a conversation fee which could also be built into the AUD amount. Difficult to work out exact rate. I always take AUD cash and exchange it there. Susie
