once in a standard hotel room and once in a bungalow in the gardens, from memory not much difference in price but I much preferred the bungalow. The rooms in both are about the same, just normal hotel type rooms, nothing spectacular but nothing wrong with them either. The location is fantastic, right on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Just step straight from hotel onto Kuta beach and sit at many of the little beach bars and watch the world go by. Also the food carts on the beach serve great indonesian food and very very cheap - nasi goreng around 5,000rp and delicious - and they bring your food to your chair at the beach bar.
