It is a choice you must make - but we have been many many times to Bali and the last two trips with our two teenagers - and we are now planning our next as a family in Aug/Sept. We know where we will go - and places we won't go! The security has certainly been improved dramatically since the bombings - but we also play it safe. We cannot guarantee that our safety is 100% but we do our best.
Pick a good hotel who implements good security checkpoints (Kartika Plaza is owned by the military - extremely good security)- and think about where you would like to go. Bali is a beautiful place and somewhere we would not think about returning to. Even the airport has better security than Melbourne!
