I have friends flying from brisvegas to sydney where we will meet up and fly on to Bali. There does seem to be some confusion with Jetstar and I think this came up a couple of weeks ago too. My belief is that you check in at the domestic terminal in brissy and your luggage will be checked through to bali.
That is what my friends were told when they enquired. If you do find to the contrary could you post so I can let them know to double check. cheers :-)
