to Bali without any problems. I've seen people using their own laptops at broadband internet cafes, so that shouldn't be a problem. And as Dadvet said, some hotels have connections from their rooms - checkout their websites.
I used my laptop on my flight and during my stay to watch DVDs. It also came in handy for saving photos/video from my camera's memory card.
I also take a surge protector with me to plug into my electricity adaptor for battery recharging.
