would have been very difficult for you. I hate situations where we suspect, but they are poor. In 1990 I was robbed by a lady in a shop, I knew it was her, she was not the owner. I was very upset and another shopkeeper gave me a drink and a fan, some physical and emotional support too.
The next day I was told the lady was sacked, that reports had been made previously. The owner asked me to choose anything from her shop.I declined as it wasn't a lot of money, it was the experience which shook me.
I was trying on a dress with 5 kids to sort out, I sent them over the road with the eldest ones to get a drink, I was distracted and had put my wallet down on my bag after giving the kids money as the ice cream cart was also passing. I was silly to provoke an opportunistic thief.
She even told me I had given the purse to the children.
