At the Padma hotel I particularly enjoy the breakfast. Every morning I would have a bowl of fruit salad together with these weird gelatinous opaque balls in a sweet syrup. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these 'balls' were - they didn't have much of a taste but they had a fabulous texture. They weren't lychees or anything like that, I don't think they're an actual fruit, they could be a reconsituted rice powder thing, similar to Japanese dango.
