No probs, I will email you some photos of the hotel. We looked at the villas and were glad that we hadn't opted for one of them, they were so dark compared to our lovely room. I'd suggest asking for an upstairs room as the lush gardens, as beautiful as they are, would block out a lot of light to the rooms. Another benefit of being upstairs is that you get another balcony and door, so you can have both doors open with the breeze blowing through. There was no problem with mozzies, I'm sure if there had been any around they would have known where to find me. The villas would be good if you are travelling with kids, as they are really just two bedrooms, with a king downstairs, and two singles upstairs.
It's probably about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Gria Santrian, depending on how often you stop to look and chat along the way, and it's a lovely walk. We planned to hire bikes but didn't get around to it, but if you are visiting your family often it would proably be
a good thing to do. It was Rp30,000 for a day's hire, but I'm sure it would be cheaper for a longer period.
I was never able to find a very good map of where the hotel is so I will attempt to email you a Google Earth photo with both the Griya Santrian and the Sri Phala marked.
