The one and only way that our details were written anywhere was definintely on the immigration card.
Just got back last week and since we were travelling around, I gave the location of one place we were staying that is 3 hours from Kuta, I didn't get any phone calls this time!
I would just make the hotel name illegible on the immigration card now, as the lady that called me got rather irate when I told her I was NOT interested and had no time to take up their kind offer of a free lunch......so if it happens again, then I will just hang up in their ear.
