I feel that only really bad or at least negative events in Bali get any newspaper or TV coverage.
My favourite example is when a channel seven crew got us to move away from the pool at Jayakarta soon after the 1st bomb. 2+2 people moved (should have said no). When the piece came out the object of it was to show an empty hotel pool.
My second and more important example was the Christmas after the bombing when Hindu and Muslim people stood guard around Christian churches during Christmas day services. It was reported on here by expats who witnessed it but no mention in the media, print or TV.
My point is that while promos may help and here's to you, a little more truth would be a huge factor.
