about many many moons ago for morning sickness is also useful for travel sickness & I presume would have no nasty side effects for a young child - it's ginger.
All I can say is all those years ago it helped me far more than dry biscuits or drinking a normal cuppa in the morning.I don't really get travel sickness though - except one time when we did that drive through the hills from Ubud up to Lovina but the road is very bendy & I think when I was crook because of being such a hot day & the car had a faulty exhaust with fumes coming inside & no working air conditioner.
You have several choices I think ,depending on what you think would be best accepted by your little one.You could see if she would eat glaced ginger or some other sort of ginger.Alternatively do you think she would drink ginger tea?
It can also be sweeten with honey & can be drunk hot /warm or even chilled.I regularly drink it just because I like the taste.I like it either as a hot cuppa or as iced tea in summer with a tiny squeeze of honey, lots of ice & a slice of lemon. It's also lovely as a base for punch.
You could maybe even consider taking some of the tea bags on the plane & asking the staff to bring you a a cup of warmish water. The best quality & purest ginger tea can be bought in either health food stores or Asian supermarkets.
As a point of interest re the car sickness I have heard that if the person is looking down such as reading etc that they can be more prone to being car sick.I hope you sort something out & have a wonderful holiday with your little girl.Re the ginger -Why not try it out at home first when you can on your next car trip & see if it helps.
