oh well thats ok then!!what the....Bali is, as the website probably explains, still the potential target of JI and others. these groups havent gone away and still have much support amongst the poor people as well as sections of the armed forces.While it is true you could experience a terrorist attack in London, the US and elsewhere,the security in Bali does not extend beyond a few half hearted metal detector checks at hotels etc. Go by all means, but be aware thatDFAT is "not just covering its arse", but responding to intelligence gathered from all over the world.Bali will never be as safe as say Oz for geographical, geopolitical and religious reasons-dont let your decisions be swayed by the old safer than Northbridge, felt so safe in Bali, arguments-this is hogwash.
