Well as you know the Husband, son & newphew were all due to fly out last night, leaving the brother in hospital.
The flight was the return flight, of the Darwin to Bali plane that had the engine failure so needless to say the boys could not fly out and had to stay the extra night.
My Husband has been up at the hospital and has managed to sort out the insurance.
Mind you before he arrived at the hospital I had to ring the insurance company and blast the sh..t out of some poor girl, who had just arrived at work, to get something done.
I think in their minds it was a case of a pre existing medical condition so they didn't bother to do anything.
I told the girl that even if, that was the case I think the premium we paid would cover the cost of a a courtesy call to let him know that they couldn't do anything and that he was on his own!
Any way I won't bore you with all the details...the main thing is the Husband is back there and is onto the insurance and has got a new medical report stating that he had slipped on wet tiles.
I think the insurance have doubts in there minds now and think they are trying to pull a swifty as they have has asked for his Doctors details here in Cairns.
You know girls I don't know how these men would have got on if it wasn't for me organising things for them!!!
I am still shocked that 3 of them all read the Doctors report.... seen that it wasn't correct but they STILL faxed it to the insurance!
Don't take offence guys :-))
It has also made me wonder, what do you class as a pre existing medical condition? Most of us have suffered some form of bad back.
Every couple of years I go through a spate of back trouble and have to visit the chiropractor, but I would never think to put it down as a pre existing medical condition!
I will keep you posted as to what develops with the insurance and maybe disclose the company.
