I have stayed at Marina Mandarin (great but dear)
Peninsula a three star and liked it but I think the rooms might need refurbishing by now.
The Carlton Hotel, loved this place and is in a good spot for walking to most places that I wanted to go.
The Golden Landmark, booked this through Wotif. Good size room and bathroom for Singapore and in a good spot for me but the breakfast wasn't crash hot and only had it twice during my 5 night stay. Went across to the Hospital across the road and had breakfast at a coffee shop underneath, great.
Next trip hopefully in four weeks on our way to Phuket and Bali we will stay at The Carlton again or may give The Allson a go.
