Fingers almost frozen on the keys, where else would I be thinking of?

Sitting downstairs in Sri Ratu breakfast-time, on several days a Balinese head, of a middle-aged man, would swiftly run across my vision, above a 1.5 metre wall. Was this some locals playing tricks, a Leyak or was it my mind going ga-gah? Eventually we took a table closer to the wall and found it was a man rushing to work on his push-bike. Bodiless head explained, much to my relief.

Why do they call our friend Jimmy Gorgeous? Magnificent driver, courteous guide, Magician and all round good guy. His sho-p has moved across the road, doing well not 50m from his second shop. No email now but phone and fax still the same. Jimmy All-Sorts, James Magnificent, Jimmy Mr Efficient would suit him better but all the same to the Grannies on here, I suppose he's still gorgeous.

Highlight on the eating side of our recent 2-week dash, when not eating aromatic local food, was our two noshings at Bali Bakery in Kuta. 4-Star Service at 2-Star prices. Critical though we are, both fairly accomplished cooks, we could find nothing to find fault with except that some portions were too big. Well managed and please don't mention the Confectionary which is not for Jenny Craigites; yumissimo.
Needless to say my days on the Catwalk are behind me!

Our Charity ventures continue. However, it nowadays takes the form of Sembaco to those in need, who are usually people with one wage and kids at school. Giving food frees up cash for school fees at critical times. Sembaco is the acronym in Indonesian for the nine basic food-stuffs; it's in the Archives here on BTF.
