go early, find someone (from the boat)and offer them money or maybe food to mind your stuff where the boat is leaving from.
Just hang on to your passports etc.
BTW where are you staying?
We're planning to take stuff for the school there in June. We saw one in the village near Mushroom Beach. Not sure if there is another one on the island.
