i found it was best to get it fitted when you get back. We bought a chip in Bali and it wasn't the right one for our model Playstation 2 so then we had to spend more money getting the right one fitted. Don't know if anyone else has this trouble but since we have had the chip put in the playstation sometimes has trouble reading other games bought in Australia.
