when you say 'bungalow type' accom what do you mean? pretty stand alone thatched joint, place with a kitchen? etc.
Thinking about it, the Puri Raja sounds like an option for you.
Its not too big, so the staff will get to know your kids. Its right on the beach. Its only two steps away for you & hubby for shopping/dinner/timeout etc. There are no stand alone bungalows but, they have interconnecting rooms. 2 pools.
Jayakarta is a BIG place, but its not too far from facilities...it has heaps on site and is only a stones throw from the same shopping/restaurants/beach etc. as Puri Raja is.
If you are looking a stand alone thatched bungalow (the one we dream about) on the beach with the swaying coconut trees, then you'll either have to head out of the kuta/legian area and maybe look at the islands, or, you'll end up paying big bucks for a villa. Your kids won't have any friends to make if you stay at a villa. Thats just my view, my kids have always been happier when they find a couple of mates to hang with.
