Why should those of us travelling on Qantas from Melbourne or other east coast departure points, not be able to utilise the Premier Lounge? We do not have the choice (or luxury) of flying business class but are still willing to pay the $20 or so each to access the lounge. The assumption that because you have paid extra to travel in the pointy end of the plane means your behaviour is better, does not wash with me. I have travelled many times in Business Class and I can tell you that some of the so called 'silver tails' would not be invited into my lounge!
