The Kuta beach club is fantastic. Nice rooms, beautiful grounds, 2 pools one with swim up bar and family friendly. They dont encourage tourists who only want to drink and party all night to stay. Great location. Stones throw to Matahari (supermarket) has a seven eleven tight next door and a block from the beach. The staff are sooo friendly but not sleazy friendly.
Give them a try. Also the hotel has not been americanised(always a plus)
