2005 we had a the Deluxe Ocean view room. Well you couldn't see much of the ocean because of the very tall trees & palms in front of the block so this year we opted for a Superior Garden view room and were very happy with the choice. The view over the gardens was great and we looked down onto the smaller more private garden pool. The room size was the same as the Ocean view & the only difference was the shower was over the bath instead of having a seperate shower. The breakfasts are fantastic and a couple of times we dined at the new poolside eatery which looks over the beach & is so beautiful at night with stunning Garden lamps that I would love to have at home.

We found this year there were very few Aussies staying, mainly Europeans & Brazillians. Try the great cheap as chips laundry about 500 metres up the road (same side as the Sofitel)as the Sofitel prices were outrageous.

With changing money we always used the facility at the front desk. There was only about 500Rp difference to what was on offer on the streets and no worries about tricky swifties.

Good luck with the lounge hogs!
