In the Caribbean I once came across "Swim with the dolphins" and it was so sad to see the dolphins being patted (rather smacked) by rowdy children and youths - and some adults. The dolphins eventually tried to hide in a corner of the smallish, shallow tank, while sending out loud "signals", probably of distress. What a mistake to pay if only to have a look.
Would anyone treat their pet dog or pet cat in a similar way, more or less cornering them inside a small area without escape? I thought not, and yet this attraction in Bali is promoted both below and further down.
