If you decide to stay at Ubud Village, you can get them to arrange for a driver to pick you up from the airport. That's what I did. It was about the same price as a taxi, & well worth-while to not have to worry about organising that.
I could recommend Agung Tirta, who can be contacted through the hotel. He is a very nice man with good English. He is also an artist & took me around Museum Neka, and his English is good enough that he knows European artists.
Agung gave me a huge bunch of tuberose because I mentioned that there were none around the hotel. They smelt wonderful the whole time I was there, and it was such a lovely thing to do. I should probably mention that I'm about 20 years older than him, in case you got the wrong idea!
