and got 2 pairs of single vision glasses made, one normal clear lenses (around 500,000rp) and one prescription sunglasses (around 600,000rp) from memory, that included quite trendy frames. The clear glasses they made on the spot and the sunnies took about 5 days, very happy with both pairs. I also got some contact lenses there as well - the 2 weekly wear ones much cheaper than Australia (about $20 for 6 lenses). At one stage I was have real trouble with my contacts (the ones I brought from Australia) and the guy in Melawi knew exactly what he was talking about - recommended some daily wear ones due to different humidity and dust levels in Bali and once I swapped to those no more problems. Highly recommend this place.
