with Tuberose some people have to save hard for a holiday and you have to make your own judgement on how much you give. Personally I don't think it is good for the Balinese to rely too much on handouts from tourists. The Balinese that do have jobs in hotels or restaurants are lucky enough to have work and just by eating at different restaurants and staying in not so posh hotels are all helping those that work in these places. We stay at a lovely homestay in Anturan owned by a Balinese family and would not swap our time there for any five star hotel. Please don't flame me as we do give and tip but it's up to the person on how much you give.
