Hi there. We fell in love with Candidasa the moment we arrived and enjoy our time there since. We just stayed for 3 weeks in June and it was the most wonderful holiday ever. We have timeshate at the Bali Shangrila Beach Club and absolutely love the staff and location. Its right on the sandiest part of the beach, has a great pool, excellent service and a friendly, welcoming environment. Check out their site at www.balishangrila.net
You can get a week's free accom there to try it out. They just ask you to a short chat about timeshare but do not push it too hard. They are happy to have the patronage.
Vincents is the best restaurant in Candi (maybe even Bali). Very reasonable and excellent quality. Lots of fun things to do from Candi, especially snorkeling, diving, submarine ride, water temples etc. I have a great driver I can recommend for 300,000 a day. Just email me for more info.
