You are right agent was good for not alot, Which was kind of what I expected as often I have got quotes from the same agent my friend used but have refused to book with them even though on occasion they are cheaper just becasue of the lack service. Enough said about that though.
As for poppies yes it is the one you are thinking of. My friend has stayed at Barong and Ramayana before on her own and liked these two, She picked poppies this time for the price and she is nuts for Baliness outdoor bathrooms. She was not dissapointed with the bathroom and claims it is lovely. For the first few days though she was sharing her room and bathroom with several other families of the ant variety.
Yes poppies one is narrow but the agent had assurred her that taxi etc would be fine. This girl knows how to shop and thus her biggest problem in getting it back to the hotel. My friend also comes back quite late at night(between 11pm-12am) from visiting all the balinees friends she has made over the years and although she is seasoned at walking around in Bali at night by her self quite safely she will not walk down poppies one after the shops have shut.
She raves about the bathrobes, loves the breaky but finds the rooms tired and the cleanliness on the seriously lacking side.
From what I can tell this is probably not a bad hotel for couples which is were they seem to market it at anyway.
