I know in Melbourne I couldnt go far or spend much time in a taxi for au$60 or so, but just spoke to a friend who said cost them us$300 for 10 hours of sight seeing out of Phoenix in the US.
Equivalent to about au$60 seems fair to me in Bali, particularly if you learn a lot along the way, the vehicle is comfy and have a friendly well spoken driver.
I am happy to pay 400,000 - 450,000rp per day if there are a few kms involved.
