If you are mentioning X-ray on arrival I do not see there is a real problem. The luggage has already been thoroughly searched and X-rayed at the departure point, before boarding the aircraft that you fly with to Bali, as has all the carry-on things.
Do you worry that your extra bottles of alcohol will go un-noticed and that you will thus miss the thrills and possible spills in the small, hot room where people have to pay for excess alcoholic beverages and other things that may fancy customs staff?
Passengers departing Bali will see that security really has improved as of lately, and it is better than at most western world airports - the security staff check your ticket and passport to see that they match with your departure date even before you get to enter the terminal building and after that everything you carry (sometimes even shoes and belts) is X-rayed immediately and before you can check-in.
After that your carry-on things are again X-rayed at the gate, sometimes including a physical search. I have never seen anyone sleeping at the various departure check-points for a great many years, if ever.
