Houses are not too hard to get at the moment and should get between 40-80 million rupiah a year depending on quality - AU$ 6-12,000 a year. food in Sanur is easy to get, there's a good supermarket and plenty of other shops. Almost nothing is dearer than Australian and most everyday things cheaper incl meat. Go for it if the job suits.
If prepared to live out from town housing could be a lot cheaper - I have a good 3 bedroom house in Tabanan for Rp4 million a year and there food is very cheap - it's hard to spend more than $4 a day on 3 meals. Be positive and get a great experience.
