we finally bought some paintings our last trip and did as suggested, had them taken off the frame and rolled up safely to transport home.
Last week I made some frames from pine I bought from Bunnings ($12 total for three pictures) and hung them in our lounge. They look great and people are saying they really like them.
Don't get them framed in a shop, friends got quotes and it was ridiculous how much they wanted
