Im just back from yet another trip to bali. My advice is ask them to remove frame, pack frames as one long package and then carefully roll painting in a tube. I have never had them damaged this way (thats if they dont fit in suitcase)
If fit in a suitcase find the post office agent and buy bubblewrap and just put in between your clothes in case!
Price depends on your bartering skills , size and then artist.
but dont pay over say rp 450000 for a 50cm x 100cm i never have!
