stayed at the Puri as a family of three and thoroughly enjoyed it, although our son was only 2 at the time, so not too interested in other kids. Not a lot of other kids there, mainly couples and older Americans and Europeans.
Griya sounds more family oriented, with more restaurants around and closer to main section of Jl Danau Tamblingan, but you can always get a bemo if you don't want to walk. We usually walked with the pram, took about 10-15 minutes to get from one to the other.
