Hi, we have been going twice a year of late and we were there last Xmas when there were more strongent warnings re attacks and kidnappings. I am lucky in that my son is older (15) and I discuss all of these warnings with him. I chose last Xmas to stay away from Kuta for the few days over Xmas and went to Amed instead. This year however we will be in Kuta.
Its hard with small children and yes you do need to take heed of the warnings ... you also have to put things into perspective and realise that there are other Countries where there have been attacks and there are no warnings. That every day we go outside, drive our car we probably have a greater risk of being killed than we do in Bali by a terrorist attack. I also consider the Balinese and what this will do to them if we all stop going.... and how we would be giving into terrorism if we all stop travelling because of fear ...
There is much to consider and you need to make an informed choice ... I choose life ...
Re injections... we had Hep A, Typhoid and Tetanus. Again this is a personal choice :))
Have a fab time .... perhaps if there are forum drinks or a dinner arranged for December (which I hope there is) we will get to meet up.... take care :)
