I was involved financially with Bayu Cottages which actually was not the case.
All we did was remodel the rooms and restaurant in return for an agreed amount of free accommodation from the previous owner, and it was our "place to stay of choice" for many years.
If, on the other hand, you go to the next headland at he beginning of Lean Beach, you will see the beginnings of the Horizon project, incorporating Sails Restaurant and Jack's Bar, with a little Kiwi Batch on the hill where we now stay when we are up there.
It's a slow process as the rental market has been understandably soft this year.
Seems to be coming right now though.
