If only people wound not dwell in the past but look for the future both they and Bali would be much better for it. Balinese culture has a brief period of grieving followed by reconciliation and moving forward. Many of my Balinese friends can not understand the constant revisiting of past sorrows which seems to be more part of the Australian way than with others. The Australian media feed this whenever possible and just love to cover a positive Bali story with reminders of past problems.
