been here with a party of eight for 7 days,7 to go.This hotel is as good as forumites have said. Clean ,friendly, lovely gardens, mostly middle aged guests, no load mouth boofheads,a few sunlounge hogs but nothing to worry about ,plenty of breakfast with a great variety of hot and cold choices, shame I cannot say the same about the restaurant the food is alright and do eat here if we stay in but far better meals out side.
I share the concerns about the up coming extensions, 4 storey, 100 extra rooms,no new pool just a spar pool.At present they are still clearing the block ,no noise problems but i am sure there will be when they start construction (to be completed in 2 years I think?) For those who are concerned about their up and coming reservations it would be better to continually monitor the situation at later dates.I can't see too many problems in the next couple of months.
RESTAURANTS: Tried a few so far ,Yutz absolutely great meal the battered champignons (entree) was as big as a main meal followed by madras curried lamb in coconut milk .Bali Indo as usual very good one of the few places we have come across that had to turn people away and that speaks for it's self. Blue Ocean (next to the KP on the beach),another great meal enjoyed by all and entertained by a group called Singaraga (this group is a must to see ),playing everything from sitar ,banjo ,trumpets ,guitars, didgereedoo, electric violin, bongo drums and a singer with a voice to die for .They played everything from classical, celtic, middle east, rock and rhythem and blues. Off to try Ketut Mear tonight, heard big wrapps about this place (just up from Bali Aussie ).

QUOTE OF THE TRIP SO FAR : We went to the Elephant Safari Park on the way to the volcano with Bruce (82) and his wife Shirley(77)
and of course they had to have a ride on the elephant and it had to be the biggest one,we had some concerns because of their age but they reckoned that it was fantastic and with all to swaying back and forth they felt like two little monkeys trying to have sex with a giant soccer ball .
Off for a Bintang ,more latter about the money changer on the beach between the KP and Blue Ocean, little bastard.
