You can also walk down the side of PR (facing the hotel from the street end, walk down the right hand side) and there are no stairs there.
Our room number was 108 and the next one towards the beach was 107. They were interconnecting. These rooms are on the ground floor. Even though they were interconnecting the balcony still has a wall between it. But that's ok for privacy in our case, as we weren't interconnecting.
There are 2 blocks of rooms at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the pool (beach end) and they are the deluxe rooms.... I haven't checked them out as they had people in them when we were there.
PR is a nice place, you will like it there!
