Hi Franky, there are several different places that has buffalo races but the one at mekepung is by far the best. I in fact have competed in on of the races and won hehehe it is a very dangerous, hard 2 km slog and if you are not fit forget about it. the next day after I raced both my legs were badly bruised and I could hardly walk ( U can ask SMUDGE about his) you actually kneel on slatted wood to drive you buffolo and whip the buffolo with bamboo it does bleed like hell and they later put watermelon on all the welts & cuts. This is not for the fait hearted or anilmal liberators but thats Bali.
Both times I have been there I seen many lokal racers taken to the hospital. The rules are differnt to other races there are only 2 buffalo's in each race starting behind each other.
I am sure if you go to or call Peanuts they will let you know when and where the next races are to be held.
