It is certainly one & the same person. Our family originally become friends with him a few years ago when he made some suits for my husband.Aristo & his family are very special people to us now.Over the past few years he has made all sorts of women's & men's clothing for us including leather jackets & we are always thrilled with the final product. My only problem is that my luggage allowance is never big enough to get all the clothes I want for us all, especially my own clothes <LOL>
Last trip I had heaps of silky type of PJ's made & I now wished I had at least 2x as many made so I could give our daughter & 2 Mum's some as pressies. They are just so comfy. He is also brilliant at copying - fancy designer label after 5 wear.I recently needed to buy a very special outfit for our wedding anniversary dinner because I did not get one made last trip but I will taking it to Bali with us next time to have him copy it in another colour. It sure is hard paying Aussie prices for designer label clothes when you know what you can get copies for in Bali - & the fact that they are sewn better at a cheaper price is always amazes me.I'm sorta disappointed I never needed him to make a year 12 formal dress for our daughter - because it would have been stunning.Pity she went onto TAFE before she finished Year 12 ! But she says she's just hanging out for her pink leather jacket that will only cost around $100.
My other half is very fussy with his suits because he wears them everyday & he says his suits from Aristo are the most comfortable & well cut that he has ever worn. Both my Mum & Mother in law were tailoress/dressmakers so I am also fussy when clothes are made for me & I know good quality workmanship when I see it.Through BTF & our own circle of friends & business contacts many people we know have had clothes, leather jackets & shoes & boots made by him.I know if you look back through the archives you will find many good reports on his work.
As I said in a previous post no one in our family has ever had shoes made by him but others had & been very pleased. If you do decide to go & see him say Mamma sends her Love & that he is to take extra special care of his lovely wife at the moment because we are looking forward to having a seeing a very strong & healthy new niece or nephew next trip.
BTW - In case you don't have his new contact details - Aristo Brothers Collection in Three Brothers lane on the left hand side of the lane.It is just off Jalan Padma Utara, down the side of the All Season Hotel. If you have walked as far North as the MBR you have gone too far,it is the small lane just before Bamboo Corner restaurant. His shop is right next door to Brisbane brothers tailor.Phone 0817-475 -8159 & email to ariskuwa07@yahoo.com
Since Aristo is now in business on his own he is hoping to to get together a collection of pictures of men's & women's clothes & shoes he will make so if anyone is going & hasn't thrown out magazines or catalogues with pictures in & has them lying around at home -Can you please take them to him if you think you will down that end of town at any time.No Obligation to buy - you would just be doing me & him a favour.
I hope this answers all your questions Gecko,if you have anymore just send me an email.
