Hey guys great forum
I am a 30 yr. old guy wanting to go to bali for the first time this june/july for a week or so, solo. I have been checking out this forum for some time and I've got to say congratulations to all!
I am pulling my hair out trying to find out good info for good accom and other holiday suggestions for a single person. travel agents I've spoken to basically say either find someone else to go with, or book a hotel and pay the full rate of the hotel room. (which seems fair enough)
So from what I've read I think staying at the bounty or the barong hotel might fit the bill, swimming pools, close to the action, not too pricey and people around my own age.
Am I being unrealistic by hoping to get airfare and accom under $1000 by myself?
I am looking forward to going solo, I like to be able to chill out on my own or hang out with others depending on my mood. Can anyone give me any suggestions/advice on how to make the most of my bali holiday as a solo holiday maker or how they made the most of theirs?
