we have been to bali 9-10 times and decided about 7 years ago to have a change and go to fiji - yes it was beautiful - beautiful clear water, lovely atmosphere, but expensive in our terms. Wen we ate out we had to look at the menu and think of our budget. It was like eating out in australia - only difference no cheap options where we were on an island. So cost wise we probably wont return. I love bali because you can afford to eat and drink what you want - fit some shopping in, massages etc and be generous to the locals without breaking the budget
