On the midnight buffet dinner, what surprises me was that the perents brought along the kids for buffet dinner at midnight. My late dinner after arrival, curry lamb with nan took a long time to be prepared so I had heaps of time observing....
Now I know how women answer their nature's call in this vast open toilet ground.
Was told that 5000 people arrive in Mumbai everyday from other places looking for a better life and almost all of them start out in the squatters. the sanitation of the squatters is just unimaginable. Heard that the flood last year (left just before it happened, would have been caught) flush out a lot of undesirables from the sewer.
The sight of the squatters is amazing, from the plane at the airport, half of the hill in national park, even just by the road.
But you will survive, and survive well, you guys are resilient. reading how brave the city is responding to the event this week by carrying on
