This will be my first jbr,although have been to bali 5 times now.
We had 18 days at the MBR, this is our 3rd year at this hotel and we like the location, and the value for money(first child free til 16yrs).
Flew Garuda,good service,only complaint had to fly back via sydney,which made it a long flight home.We did upgrade at the garuda office in bali,$400aud each,worth every penny,slept 5hrs.
Did rent motorbikes for 16days, $25000 pd, did get pulled over by police 3 times to check licences, did have a lot of fun and went lots of places on bikes.
Only did two tours as we done most every tour in bali,went WWR as we do every year,great day,teledwaja river,Bali international rafting.
Also did a pushbike tour,riding 40kms,had a great day riding through all the villages, harder than i thought it would be,would not recomend if you were very unfit.Won't recomend the company we went with,it was a bit shonky,go with the ones recomended on the forum.
Restaurants we ate at,Flying piano,good food.Yut'zs Place(just up from flying piano)great steak.The coffee shop(across the road from poco loco in padma utara,great coffee,lovely food.Rickys same road just near there,nice steak sandwiches. garden view sunday roast very nice.warung yodja,great indo food,a must to try!!! Ketambar jl melasti very nice,new. Wayan & friends,great samosas. Indo national,good food as usual. Only 2 places we would'nt go back to were Lamonde,felt a bit sick after eating here,and poco loco,both myself &husband sick after eating here.You would have to beunlucky to get a bad meal in bali now there r so many good restaurants.
More jbr to come,am getting tired,next will be sponsered child visit, and some stupid things I did on "holiday mode" or am calling it mid life crisis!!!seonaid
