I don't think the actual content of your posting raised the concerns, more likely the "Urgent request for info" heading, which you later openly admit having arguably more knowledge about than some of those who reply. (eg, someone admits to a brief meeting only once, and didn't actually know who it was they had met at the time)
It is the B#@#*&T part about your posting that gets up everyone's nose, rather than the fact that you may have a question to ask, it is the WAY you first present it. Let it die, and bandage your foot cause you have managed to shoot yourself there I am afraid!
