after,
my opinon -

Kuta and Legian - busy, beach always has tourists and yes the sellers, some people enjoy the sellers some don't. Hubby hates people in his face, where I enjoy sitting at beach bars and getting pampered and buying without having to walk around, this is good if you can haggle with out getting worked up or pressured.
The closer you are to the water the less sellers.

Seminyak, beach not as busy, shops more upmarket a bit more of a walk to Kuta...Alot of Villa's in this area.

Tuban - beach not the best alot of rubbish incomparison to other places.

Nusa Dua - beach outside resorts we found extremely quiet, water sports are done here, sellers in a few huts along beach not pushy as others but not a great variety.

Sanur - Pushy sellers that follow you trying to pursuade you to go to their shop. You can avoid this by either saying you are going to a certain shop or certain friends place or just don't get caught into a conversation.
Ladies here have a thing where the first person to approach you has the right first to sell then it is open to others.

We love Sanur, we never get hassled on the beach only at markets.
We enjoy sitting at the Gazebo beach bar for a few drinks, we enjoy Mango restaurant - food yummy, staff good, and we also enjoy sitting on the beach on a Sunday with locals flying kites and swimming in little lagoons of water eating cobs of cooked corn cooked over coconut husks mmm....just make sure they don't overcook, they seem to enjoy it on the burnt side....mmm....

Hope it helps, I know I waffled a bit..
