We have recieved further details on what is going to happen in regards to Komang and his operation. First appointment with sugeon wil be June 14, were and examination and further xrays will be taken of his feet. The proceedure will be explained, through an interpreter, of the operation. Surgery will take place at St John of Gods in Subiaco, on June 21 and it is not known at this stage how long surgery will take. Komang will be in hospital for about four days after which time he can return home to his parents at our place. His feet will be in plaster for six weeks, then after some physio work and tests he will be allowed to return home to Bali.
Home sickness will be a huge problem for the family. In an endevour to minimise this, we will compile a list of local Balinese people to call in and pay a visit any time they wish, and or take them out on day trips.
On his return to Bali its being arranged by the hospital to have a visiting doctor call in and check on Komang's progress. His physio needs will be taken care of by our close friend Merieke, who runs a rehab centre in Lovina. A farewell ceremony is in the planning on August 6 to give people the chance to meet Komang and his parents before we take them back to Bali on August 10. were it is hoped Komang will draw the winning ticket in a raffle we are running. Ill post more on that as the time gets closer.
Take care and thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes.
