Confession time. We had booked and paid as a package to stay at the Hotel Indah 2 doors down from the Satriya however the Indah was so so bad we paid extra and moved to the Satriya for 4 days of the 29 as we where returning in Sept and needed to check the Satriya out. We paid 280,000 for a superior room, this was a discounted rate as we have known the manager for a few years and told him we have 10 people coming in September and want to stay at the Satryia then. We had a ground floor room towards the back of the Hotel (by the pond and temple). We found these rooms huge and the bathrooms huge as well. Proper glass shower doors not shanky mouldy plastic ones that we have had in other hotels. The satriya is currently in discussions with travel agents to get them as part of a package deal. At the moment you can only book direct which for us flying from NZ can be expensive. I spoke to my travel agent yesterday who advises it should all be sorted out in 2 weeks and he should have a package sorted out. The price included a buffet breakfast, which was good value. While we where there the occupancy was 60%, by the time we left it was full. Most hotels where operating at 30 - 40% occupancy when we where there. When we where there they where renovating the budget rooms, which will be cheaper than the superior, but the quality is still good. They also have an internet service at the Hotel as well, it is 500rp per minute and you can get cheaper but we used it for convienance if we didnt want to walk up the lane. Hope this helps. They also have a website which is
www.satriyacottages.com as usual the room rate will be in USD however just contact them direct and negotiate in Rupiah.
