I get a bit worried about "off the street price" and what is offered to agents, obviously the agent gets commission and their price is usually below "off the street". I asked Arthawa at Puri Raja, if I book direct what is the price, and he said the same as you pay the agent. You would have to know the usual cost of the hotel from internet or travel brochures to work out if you are getting a good deal. I have, for the first time booked through Mida for MBR and the price she quoted seems OK. You pay her on arrival and she gives you vouchers for your accommodation.
