At Melbo Airport on 26th May a man tried to grab Eddie's wallet from the tray after it had gone through the International security xray. Eddie knocked this guys hand away and took his wallet and cabin bag but because he was upset forgot camera and some mags. I was ahead of him and didn't see it and Eddie didn't report it. Didn't realise until on a/c that he didn't have camera and at that stage couldn't remember when he had lost it. Rang son from bali and he found out that it had been found at security point. Son told them about incident and they said it has happened a few times recently, so be CAREFUL.
Had a good Garuda Flight only 1/3 full, so I scored 4 seats and slept. Used porters as we had xtra bags for donations for Helen Flave. Customs didn't check cases and bags the porters carried only cabin bags we were carrying.
Traffic to sanur quiet. Sanur Beach Hotel busy with Indonesian Convention. Think we're the only Aussies at Hotel. Plenty from Germany etc. Donald's Beach Restaurant is very busy and they have changed things from last year.
Changed money at Wartel across road from hotel, Friday 6,950 rp. Yesterday 6,900. Been to Hardy's to buy supplies, also get sim card. Kodak guy there very helpful as the girl didn't seem to know how to set up phone. There's a bakery there similar to Breadtalk though not quite as good. Also Royal Resorts are running a gold card scheme to give you discounts. However it is a scam yo try and get you to buy timeshare. Rang us next morning but as soon as Eddie told them we owned Royal timeshare soon lost interest. The discounts weren't that great either.
Very windy last evening about 8.30 then it rained for awhile but afterwards the wind stopped. Quite breezy today. Had the obligatory nails painted this morning. Girl said I was the first customer for 2 days. Massage tomorrow I think. Having a great time.
Don't know whether i shall write again but definitely will do a JBR when we get home in mid June. Kay
